Why not have a more relaxing time in the wine country by spending one night in Stellenbosch  ( the oldest town in South Africa  1679 ) and  soaking up the atmosphere of the quaint village nightlife of bars, bistros and award winning restaurants !

This tour includes cheese, olive and chocolate tasting combined with a flexible wine tour itinerary on both days. If there is a certain wine you have tasted or perhaps you have heard of a wine estate that you would like to visit, we will tailor the tour to suit you. A relaxed, informal, informative tour that takes in wine, food and spectacular scenery of Mountain passes and vineyards….. a truly memorable experience!

Why not have a more relaxing time in the wine country by spending one night in Stellenbosch  ( South Africas’ second oldest town in South Africa  1679 ) and soaking up the atmosphere of the quaint village known for its Cape Dutch Architecture, art galleries and award-winning restaurants!

This tour includes cheese, olive and chocolate tasting combined with a flexible wine tour itinerary on both days. If there is a certain wine you have tasted or perhaps you have heard of a wine estate that you would like to visit, we will tailor the tour to suit you. A relaxed, informal, informative tour that takes in wine, food and spectacular scenery of Mountain passes and vineyards….. a truly memorable experience!

Day 1
We collect you from your accommodation in Cape Town and transfer to Stellenbosch where we start the day with a tasting at Thelema Mountain Vineyards . Here you will get to admire the magnificent views whilst tasting a great selection of award winning wines . Our next stop would be at Rustenburg Vineyard steeped in history with magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture.
We stop for lunch on the Glenelly Wine Estate with magnificent views over the wine country

Try your hand at Sabrage next to the lake at L’Aviner vineyard our next stop. Here we will get a chance to taste South Africa’s very own Pinotage wine among other wine varietals as well as a few examples of MCC  ( methode champenoise) .

The setting outside next to a lake is a memorable experience!

The day is completed with a Port and Chocolate tasting at Muratie Wine Estate (make sure to bring your camera! ) One of the oldest estates in the Stellenbosch region.

Day 2

After a leisurely breakfast and a drive through the town of Stellenbosch we head for the Helshoogte Mountain Pass on our way to Franschhoek where we stop off at Oldenburg Vineyard  to taste their magnificent terrior specific wines with great views to match. Boschendal Vineyard, the oldest in the Franschhoek valley (1688) is a magnificent example of early life in the valley .  The beautifully restored Manor Houses and Gardens are a step back in time and add to the backdrop whilst tasting under the ancient Oak Trees !

Before we visit the town of Franschhoek we stop off at La Motte  Vineyard to experience one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Franschhoek valley and to have a leisurely lunch.
The town of Franschhoek is now in our sights where we stop to stroll through the town and take in the village atmosphere and maybe stop in at the chocolate factory to see how they make real Belgian chocolates!

After visiting the Franschhoek memorial we head for Haute Cabriere Vineyard  perched half way up the Franchhoek Mountain  for some bubbles with magnificent views over the Franschhoek valley !

As the day winds down we head for Cape Town to end a memorable trip in the wine country
